It was the first Royal train of India and a courageous initiative by Indian Railways, Government of India & Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation to promote tourism of Rajasthan & Agra. The royal excursion is beloved as the luxurious journey and won the prestigious award of "PATA Gold" for stretching out the sagas of regal Rajputs, demonstrating the history of glorious warriors, unlocking the gates of magnetic palaces, displaying the cultural kaleidoscope, & pampering with an ethnic hospitality.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01 - New Delhi (Journey Starts from Safdarjung Railway Station on Wednesday)

The cavalcade of Palace on Wheel is conceived as the planet's one of top 3 luxury train safari. The fairy tale journey of will start on arrival at New Delhi with a warm, traditional welcome. Board the Palace on Wheels for a week-long luxury safari through captivating Rajasthan.

Day 02 - Jaipur (Thursday)

The 2nd day majestic Jaipur tour will start from breakfast at train and later sightseeing. The arrival at the pink city will begin with capturing of Jaipur attractions. The appealing attractions to check out are "Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Albert Museum, and Jaipur markets. Post – lunch go for exploring splendors of City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort, and Jaigarh Fort. Later, drive back to Palace on Wheels around 6.30 pm. Dinner on Board. Depart for sawai Madhopur

Day 03 - Sawai Madhopur/Chittorgarh (Friday)

The safari will arrive at Sawai Madhopur the hunting retreat of royal Rajput on the 5th day. The safari of wilderness and chance to spot the friendliest tigers begins with delicious breakfast and visit to Ranthambhore National Park.
Secondly, go for exploring Ranthambhore starting from the ruins of a 10th century fort. Bird lovers will be delighted to capture varied birds, as its home to 300 species of Indian and migratory birds. The animals to spot are tiger, hyena, rattle, jackal and fox. Sawai Madhopur is also famous for its privileged toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes. Come back to the Palace on Wheels, and later depart for Chittorgarh.

From Ranthambhore depart to Chittorgarh, and on arrival go for visiting the sagas of valor, images of love, signs of victory to martyrdom, and legends imprinted on walls of Chittorgarh fort. Later, come back to Palace on Wheels and proceed to Udaipur. .

Day 04 - Udaipur (Saturday)

The Palace on Wheels tour will become more romantic with the 4th day, visit to Udaipur sightseeing; also beloved as 'Venice of East'. The attractions to check out at Udaipur are 'City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon ki Bari.' Enjoy the boat cruise at Lake Pichola and have lunch at Lake Palace hotel. Come back to your caravan with full delightful memoirs. Thereafter move to Jaisalmer.

Day 05 - Jaisalmer (Sunday)

Palace on Wheels royal excursion on the 5th day will arrive at the heart of Desert, Jaisalmer. The attractions at Jaisalmer to see are sights of "yellow sandstone fort, Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli." One can also escape for shopping at local markets, and have lunch. Real adventures of Jaisalmer come with amazing camel ride in nearby sand dunes. Thereafter, in the evening enjoy cultural programs and board the train to depart for Jodhpur.

Day 06 - Jodhpur (Monday)

On the 6th day, the regal safari will enter Jodhpur the golden city at early morning hours. The arrival at Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan is a treat for lovers of history and mystery. The main attraction of Jodhpur is Mehrangarh Fort. The other attractions to check out are "Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana."
Then go for exploring 'Jaswant Thada' and a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble. Late, come back to train and have lunch at a royal Palace hotel, and later, come back to the Palace on Wheels. You can also shop for exquisite handicrafts, breeches, embroidered shoes, metal curios, and silverware.Depart for Bharatpur.

Day 07 – Bharatpur/ Agra (Tuesday)

The tour slowly proceeds to enjoy watching varied bird species at Bharatpur bird sanctuary. The colorful birds to capture are Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds.
After Bharatpur proceed to Agra. The attractions to capture amid the Mughal masterpieces are "Fatehpur Sikri, Taj Mahal, Sikandra, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal, Agra Fort, and Itmad-Ud-Daulah Tomb." Later, get back to Palace on Wheels and enjoy delicious dinner. Departure for Delhi from Agra cantt.

Day 08 – Delhi (Wednesday)

On the 8th day, early morning you will arrive at Safdarjang Railway Station Delhi, and on arrival, enjoy the breakfast. Now your royal journey ends with everlasting memoirs.
